Neuro-Muscular Reeducation
While the muscles need strength to be able to keep you upright all day long, they also need to be taught a new habit and new default balanced alignment. Have you ever told yourself "I need to sit up straight," and then 30 seconds later, you've fallen right back into the bad posture—that's your brain taking you back to your default setting. Our brains and bodies learn bad habits day in and day out from our daily activities, traumas, and ergonomics. So, the second step in correcting spinal alignment is to reteach the brain (neuro) and body (muscular) connection to hold you in a new unconsciously wonderful posture.

Maintenance Care
Once you have completed corrective care, our research shows that pain reduction and increased function stay stable or even improve further beyond what you achieved in the corrective phase. Our maintenance patients generally see us one to two times per month as we continue to work with them to improve postural, exercise, and ergonomic habits.
